About a year ago, I began to feel barraged by bad news about planet earth. I was going through the mourning process, not for a person but for the prospects for civilization. Though I have always been an optimist, the facts are overwhelming. I wanted to make a difference but I had no idea what I could do to make a dent. I still don’t know; this blog is not a solution. It is a response to my feelings and witnessing my friends going through that same process: moving away from denial into anger, sadness, and fear for the world we are leaving for our children. I want to create a space for people who feel bewildered and alone, as if they are the only ones who have noticed that the air is brown; The soil is poisoned. Eighty percent of the large fish in the ocean will soon be endangered. Mothers feed mercury to their young through their breast milk. We are facing the largest period of extinction in the history of the world. Oh, and the polar ice caps are melting.
This site is for those who are feeling apocalyptic and to help those along who aren’t.
